I had an idea while at work last night and i wanted to get your view point on this. Sure the discussion of thunder clap and its new form have gone on for most of the beta.
As nice as it sounds It all just doesn't seem right to me. Thunder clap is in its original form is basically a spell..looks like on sounds like one so why on earth is it being paired with a bled effect?. The two just don't match together.
So as it stands Thunder clap seems to be a key provider of aoe threat, Yes its looking like we get consecrate and this just doesn't sit well with me at all!. I want to play my warrior for what it is at its core. a master of weapons..NOT spells.
So i put this change to you:
Bring back this:
Sweep and Clear
Your damaging abilities generate 3 rage for each target they hit beyond the first up to a maximum of 9 rage.
(even at lower rage levels it would still go well with the next ability)
Iin the place of:
Blood and Thunder
Melee Range
When you Thunder Clap a target affected by your Rend, you have a 100% chance to affect every target with Rend.
Also replace:
Thunderstruck
Your Thunder Clap leaves a crackling zone of energy on the ground for 10 sec, dealing X damage every sec to enemies that cross it.
With:
Weapon Chain of the Dragon Flight
Your Cleave range is increased by 5-10 yards. The bonus damage of cleaves is increased by 10/20%. your cleave hits 1/2 extra target(s)
Add this with our current Thunder clap then this will keep our mobility up also allowing us to deal with streaming adds. Also most importantly keeping the class on track for what its supposed to me. WEAPON master..not spell damage dealer. sure play with the range and numbers but the overall idea i believe is in a better direction.
